Welcome to our official Greymouth High School Hostel website.
The organising committee from the last GHS Hostel 75th reunion realised that it was probably about time we had another Hostel gathering since the last one was in 2002….. and lets be fair we ain’t getting any younger !!
Where we are at so far….
Our 2025 Greymouth High School Hostel Gathering is being held Easter Weekend 18-20th April . You can find more information about the weekend events and register by clicking the register / more information link above or going to the Register Interest page on this website.
Once you register we will put you on our email list. We will send you our November 2024 Newsletter with all the information about the weekend and cost’s of attending each event. If you decide to attend, just fill in the registration cost form sent to you and an invoice will be sent.
PHOTOS and HOSTEL STORIES
Photos and Stories can be sent to our admin email : hostelgathering@gmail.com
If you have photos or stories of your time at the hostel that you are happy to send us it would be greatly appreciated. Please put ‘hostel photos’ or ‘hostel stories’ as the subject of your email with digital copies attached (jpeg format etc, not pdf) of photos including information of what year it was taken and who is in the photo if you know.
Your photos and stories will only be seen online on our private facebook group page or private hostel community area of the website and not available for the general public of the world to see and comment on.
All photos and stories sent to us are an indication that you are giving the organising committee permission to use them, they may be used on:

FACEBOOK GROUP PAGE
Our facebook page is a private group page for all past Hostel students and staff to share memories and reconnect. Information will be sent to you about connecting with the page when you register.
You do not need to be attending the Easter 2025 Gathering to be part of our Hostel Community, it is open to all past Hostel students and staff, just email us at hostelgathering@gmail.com indicating you wish to be part of our Hostel community, what your direct association with the Hostel was and what years you lived at the Hostel.
NON DIGITAL HOSTEL PEOPLE
If you know Past Students or Staff with no access to email or internet or are not computer savvy and they want to attend please contact our admin email hostelgathering@gmail.com with their physical mailing address and we will endeavor to contact them with information and register them manually and send Newsletters via mail. There is Registration forms available at Paper Plus Greymouth, ask at their counter.
INFORMATION COLLECTED
All information that is provided to us via the registration process or photos and stories will not be sold or shared with any other groups, corporations, mailing lists etc. Your information will only be used for the use of this Hostel Gathering.
